Roloson in, Weight out

Dwayne Roloson will start tonight vs. Florida at Nassau Coliseum, which means Rick DiPietro will get the start tomorrow in a quick turnaround against Atlanta at 5 p.m.

Doug Weight is out with back spasms tonight; Center Rob Schremp will return to the lineup.

Islanders had an optional skate this morning. Jack Capuano said he's a proponent of those and will opt accordingly if a team's practice/road schedule lends itself to that.

Here's who attended today:

Forwards: Moulson, Schremp, Grabner, Gillies, Joensuu, Martin

Defensemen: Eaton, Martinek, Reese, Wisniewski, Gervais, AMac

After watching some recent Florida games, Capuano said the Islanders have to play a good transition game to beat the Panthers.

"Their D activate really well, so we're going to have to track. We can't get beat up the ice"
