Tambellini on PP
With Doug Weight out and Jeff Tambellini back in the lineup, we'll see more of him on the power play.
Tambellini was working from the point while the team practiced the 5-on-3 (he also played there on the Isles 5-on-3 against Pitt in the home opener when Mark Streit scored) today.
Tambellini has played well the past three games, scoring a shootout goal against Carolina last Wednesday and scoring on a deflection against Washington Saturday. That's been a boost for him after sitting out five games this season and he hopes to continue with his contributions.
"I have to make the most of my opportunities, and so far, fortunately it's been going well."
To supplement the scoring they've been receiving from their top line, Tambellini said the team must retain focus on providing secondary scoring.
"It's really big, Our first line has put up good numbers but it's time for our line to step up and having Frans back with that [second] line will make a big difference. It was a concern but guys are shooting the puck and the greasy goals are going to make the difference so hopefully it turns out that way."
