Benoit Pouliot misses practice, expected back Friday

Forward Benoit Pouliot, who left for New York after the game in Ottawa, remained there today, and Derek Dorsett skated in his place on a line with Brad Richards and Carl Hagelin.

"Benny’s at home, they got a baby girl yesterday," coach Alain Vigneault said today. "Still haven’t figured out the logistics of him coming back yet. I expect him to be back, we’ll see tomorrow. If not, Dorsett would play."

Said Derick Brassard: "I exchanged texts with him yesterday and we're crossing our fingers that everything is going well, and that he'll be here tomorrow, but if something's wrong, he's going to stay in New York, whatever is good for him."

Pouliot scored his 12th goal of the season against Ottawa, and has 15 assists in 68 games. Dorsett, a former Blue Jacket, has been a healthy scratch for four consecutive games and seven of nine.
