Girardi back tonight; Lundqvist in, Boyle, Bickel, Eminger out
"I will play tonight....there's your backpage!," Dan Girardi tells the press after the morning skate in Greenburgh. Well, how about settling for the front page of the blog, G?
Girardi, who missed two games with what is believed to be a groin strain, skated with Ryan McDonagh. Steve Eminger and Stu Bickel, along with Brian Boyle, who was scratched last game, remained on the ice for conditioning, signalling healthy scratches. Thinking perhaps Boyle could play in his home state against the Bs on Tuesday, but who knows...
Henrik Lundqvist will face Tampa for the first time this season; Martin Biron was in the net last Saturday in Florida for the 3-2 win, Lundqvist is 14-7-6 with two shutouts, 2.16 GAA and .923 save percentage against the Lightning in his career.
Erik Erlendsson of the Tamp Tribune reports that Mathieu Garon will be in goal for the Lightning, second straight start vs NYR. From purely personal standpoint, wanted to get a look at Anders Lindback.
Seems like same lines as against the Isles:
Pyatt-Richards-Gaborik; Hagelin-Stepan-Nash; Kreider-Miller-Callahan and Powe-Halpern-Asham. Torts liked rolling four lines against the Isles, well see if that lasts tonight.
D Anton Stralman, who played big minutes against the Isles and has been solid all season, is with Marc Staal, and Michael Del Zotto with Matt Gilroy.
Can Cam Talbot be a full-time goalie for the Rangers?
