Jackets buzz into town: Nash, Howson, Prospal

If you have the paper today or checking newsday.com, my Sunday Insider made a case for Nash and offered some options, if Columbus would accept them. Took similar tack on WFAN after Chicago game.

Nash, who has seven goals in eight games against the Rangers in his career, has 18 goals this season and presumably will be available to the media at about 5:30.  GM Scott Howson is expected at the game as well. And let's not forget Vinny Prospal, who re-upped with Columbus for next season.

So stay tuned here and on Twitter (@stevezipay) for the latest info....

Ruslan Fedotenko skated in this morning's optional, his first spin in several days. "Feeling better," he said. "It's driving me crazy not doing anything." He said he would check with trainers to see if he could skate again tomorrow. He will miss his fifth game tonight after being kayoed by Dom Moore's shoulder against Tampa on Feb. 9.

Artem Anisimov, Stu Bickel, Wojtek Wolski, Jeff Woywitka, Martin Biron and Henrik Lundqvist (who was the first goalie off ice, indicating that he will start tonight) were the other players skating at the training center.  Ryan McDonagh was doing off-ice workouts.
