Live from Montreal: Christian Thomas summoned from AHL

The Rangers have confirmed earlier post on AHL transaction report: They have recalled Christian Thomas, the club's 2010 second-round draft pick from Connecticut.  Thomas, listed at 5-foot-9 but shorter, scored 54 goals in the OHL one season, has been on a hot streak, with 10 points in his last 12.

It sure seems that the right wing was brought here to play tonight. We know Rick Nash is not here, and was placed on IR retroactively, so Aaron Asham or some other forward is out. Nash could play Tuesday if he's healthy.

Here's what the Hartford Courant wrote recently about Thomas, the son of former NHLer Steve.
