Only three skaters and two goalies at the optional skate here at MSGTC:  Matt Gilroy, Stu Bickel, Chris Kreider,  Henrik Lundqvist and Martin Biron.  Lundqvist took shots first to tune up, left and then Biron took over with the coaches, but Lundqvist will start

"My motivation now is to get a win and get a good feeling in the room. One win can change a lot, you just take it game by game here, can't look too far ahead," Lundqvist said. "My focus is tonight."

Because Arron Asham did not skate yesterday or today with what the team termed a mild groin striain, he's doubtful, so you'll probably see Bickel on the wing.

Gilroy was the last one on the ice, so he's a definite scratch, and Steve Eminger will make his season debut on D if Bickel is on the wing..
