Rangers in mix for UMass D Conor Allen

Ultra-reliable source tells me Rangers and Preds are top two destinations favored by Conor Allen, a junior, left-handed defenseman who is leaving UMass.

Decision supposedly coming soon.

Allen (6-1, 203) apparently likes the way the two organizations are developing d-men. The 23 -year-old is 5-14-19 in 33 games this season.

Said to be good skater, solid third-pair type of player.
