Rangers lose 3-2, Stralman injured, Conor Allen called up

             Another NHL debut?

             Could happen.

Allen, 23, a 6-2 Chicago native, is 5-8-13 and a minus 8 in 29 games for Hartford. He played three years at UMass-Amherst, was undrafted, and the Rangers signed the left-handed blueliner to an entry-level contract last March 29.

The post-game callup indicates that Marc Staal is not quite ready, and Anton Stralman may not be ready to go against Tampa.
