Rangers recall Chris Kreider

The recall of Chris Kreider suggests that  Brian Boyle, who left the Flyers game after suffering an apparent knee injury and was being examined today, won't be ready to play against the Panthers on Thursday, and possibly not in Buffalo on Friday. We may have an update from the team later.

Kreider, 21. the left wing who had been returned to Connecticut on April 3, the trade deadline, is 12-11-23 with the Whale. He is 2-1-3 in 17 NHL games this season. Pretty good finish last season, though, no?

So the brass decided against J.T. Miller, assigned to the AHL on April 11, and veteran Kris Newbury.

Kreider will certainly add some speed and offensive potential to a team that needs both down the stretch.

More coming up....
