The Wrap: Post-game notes, Quotes, Stats

Just amazing. Another close game. The Rangers can't lose right now.

"We've played so many of them," said Henrik Lundqvist. "You get more comfortable when you've been in the same situation so many times. Even going in the third (scoreless) we knew what to do. Being able to win those games is so important to your confidence."

The Rangers are three points ahead of Boston for first in the East....The .725 winning percentage is league best...

Stepan, who played one of his better games recently, had five hits and was 9 for 12 on faceoffs. Boyle was 5 of 6, Richards, who led the team with 4 shots, won 13 of 19. The Rangers won 70 percent of the draws...

***

Brandon Dubinsky, who appeared to injure his right shoulder on a run along the boards late in the first period by Taylor Pyatt, is OK, Tortorella said.

***

John Mitchell played just 7:27 overall, Mike Rupp, 7:39....D Stu Bickel played very little in the third period. "We shortened the bench," said Torts.

***

Gaborik is 2 for 7 in penalty shots in his career, and 2 for 3 on the season in the shootout. He was 2 for 19 coming in. Stepan was 0-for-5 last season.

***

The Rangers did not allow a power play tonight, or a power play goal in seven games (16-16)

***

Boyle: "It hasn't been, offensively, the greatest year for me. I think if we're physical and we're in on the forecheck, things are going to happen offensively."....Fedotenko on his goal, his first in six games: "It snuck by everybody. It was lucky, but it was a good effort by the whole line."
