Torts keeping lineup close to the vest: My guesses

Tortorella said he has made decisions on his lineup for tonight here at The Rock, but would not reveal it. As it turns out, what we know for sure is that Ryan Callahan (shoulder) and Steve Eminger (healthy scratch) remained on the ice working with coaches after the morning skate.

So, the possibilities:

1. LW Chris Kreider, who has missed four games with a bone chip in his ankle, could return. Torts hedged, saying that he hadn’t spoken with the trainers.

2. Although Stu Bickel wore a red d-jersey in practice, he could be moved back to the fourth line as a forward if it’s determined Kreider isn’t ready. Otherwise, he could sit.  Brandon Mashinter apparently was told by Assistant GM Jim Schoenfeld that he will be returning to Hartford.

3. There were no line rushes in practice, so the trios are unclear. But Matt Gilroy and Anton Stralman look as if they in as the third d-pair.

Funny line on Callahan, who is on IR, not wearing a non-contact jersey, from Torts: "Ryan Callahan's going to have contact whether we clear him or not."
