Vigneault on Blues challenge, Kreider
AV on the Blues, a north-south, physical team who lost 7-1 to the Devils last game:
"One of the five best teams in the league... best offensive team in league, fourth best in goals against. We have to play our best game…Everybody in the league is in playoff mode, everybody’s trying to get in."
AV on Kreider: "He could have helped out on the (Islanders) first goal, (Matt) Martin was in front, didn’t see him coming. On the too many men on the ice, he’s the one that jumped, he had no business jumping on early, especially when the players coming to that side. But he’s a young player, getting better every time he steps on the ice...All of our players make mistakes that’s why there’s scoring chances in games. Chris makes more positive plays than negative plays.. He's one of our best plus-minus players."
Blues are 33-11-5, 15-6-3 on the road. But they have lost three of four, yet have won six of the last seven against the Rangers.
Not sure who's in net for Blues, Elliott or Halak, but in my opinion, Henrik Lundqvist and team defense is the key. They will have to be brilliant for 60 minutes to get a point.
