Aloha from Tampa...Question: Does Marty Biron start Saturday?

Lovely afternoon, sunny and about 68 degrees here down by the bay.  But when the sun went down, the chill came in. Chill for the Florida coast, that is.

Strolled by the Tampa Times Forum, which was filling up with cars and fans (and unfortunately a less-than-compelling Southern rock cover band in the plaza) because the Lightning host Winnipeg tonight, and the Rangers tomorrow, and it begs the question: Will Martin Biron get the nod between the pipes?

Could happen.

Henrik Lundqvist has started all seven games so far (Biron relieved and stopped 19 of 20 against the Pens in their first visit to MSG), and coach John Tortorella surely wants to win in his adopted home town.

Biron is 11-7-2 lifetime against Tampa, with a 2.67 GAA and .902 save percentage (although that's not really relevant) and was 12-6 last season with two shutouts. The thing is, he might provide a spark for a Blueshirt team that looked listless at MSG on Thursday night. Could they be taking Lundqvist for granted?

You'd have to believe that Lundqvist would get the starts next week against the Devils and Islanders, who are ahead of the Rangers in the division.

So Biron?
