The Shane Doan tour continued today, with the free agent wing visiting Canucks brass in Vancouver, according to reports. He has not scheduled any stop in Buffalo, another of the teams who have expressed interest. Nothing really new on the Coyotes front, except that prospective owner Greg Jamison apparently needs $20 million. So if you’re Doan, why not do your due diligence?

 

All quiet on the CBA front, with small-group meetings on non-core economic issues, such as player safety, and with Don Fehr in Europe briefing players. The union, which is awaiting more financial data from the league, and the NHL, will meet again next week. Needless to say, any agreement isn’t close….
