After the optional skate this morning, the Rangers recalled Bobby Sanguinetti as a seventh D, possibly with the back-to-back in mind. He played three games, starting Nov. 27, when Wade Redden was out with a bruised shoulder, before being returned to AHL Hartford.

Some post-skate quotes, after coach John Tortorella kept the same lines and d-pairs intact:

Both young center Brandon Dubinsky and veteran center Vinny Prospal, now playing left wing, remember the 3-1 loss to the Isles at the Coliseum. "They always play us tough", said Dubinsky. "We've got to have a good start. If we get some of the same chances we had the other night and carry them over, we should score some goals."

Prospal: "The last time they beat us and then went off on a winning streak. We want that to happen here....With guys getting healthy there's no need for me to play center. Our line (Chris Drury and Ryan Callahan) had a number of chances to score."

                 On today's ALL-DECADE team lists:

Cases can certainly be made on the NHL list for Zetterberg or Datysuk rather than Forsberg; tough call.

On the Rangers list, Bure and Fleury have some supporters, including here at Chez Zipay and elsewhere, maybe they qualify as spares if I tweak the list. But this is the point, this is all to spark some holiday give-and-take...
