John Tortorella would not say so specifically, but from the looks of it at practice, Ales Kotalik is likely to play tomorrow night against Carolina at the Garden. Most of the session today was on the power play--not surprising after that nearly six-minute scoreless stretch with the man advantage last night--and Kotalik was involved.

It sounds like Kotalik would not be surprpised if he plays, after having been benched for six games and become subject of a rumor that he had asked for a trade (Steve Zipay heard from Kotalik's agent yesterday that it wasn't true).

As for his exile, Kotalik did say: "We work--sometimes the days you don't play are even harder than the days you do play a game. It wasn't really a pleasant and enjoyable time for me. You try and keep it to yourself, don't bother anybody else with it. Try to be supportive of the guys. And keep yourself ready."
