If you read Andrew Gross'  earlier blog, you'll know we were interlopers at a Philly teams' marketing lunch here in the press room and while the folks were pleasant and we were writing off to the side of the room, they didn't offer us any of their extra pizza. Probably better off bringing it back to their department colleagues anyway.

But turns out they might've saved us some indigestion.

For a late lunch, we wound up at an  establishment obviously driven by drinkers and not eaters (which will remain unnamed---but uh, has two names) not far from South Broad Street and regretting it. Poor choice on our part.  Shame on us for not doing the appropriate due diligence.  As that Renaissance wag Sir Francis Bacon said: "Knowledge is power".

So we soldier on and prepare for what should be a very competitive game, a looooong drive north afterward and a flight to Montreal tomorrow. Ah, the glamorous life.

At least managed to stop in and visit my daughter at Villanova.

              Highlight of trip so far.

The coach is meeting with the media at 5. Be back after that. Stomach permitting.
