Bows and arrows are strictly forbidden on NFL fields, but the Giants’ Justin Tuck got to show off his bowhunting skills on an offseason trip to Argentina that will be featured the next two Friday nights on the Sportsman Channel.

Tuck is the guest star on “Bowhunter TV,’’ joining host Mike Carney in search of big game.

A news release about the program said Tuck “finds himself face to face with a massive water buffalo at pointblank range.’’ Evidently Tuck survived, because I talked to him in the locker room Wednesday.

“The key to football is patient aggression…the same in bowhunting,” Tuck said in the promotional release. “You’ve got to be patient because sometimes the animals just don’t follow our plans and script. You have to understand your time is going to come. When it does, you have to be ready to execute.”
