The YES Network saw a boost in its average Nets rating Sunday night for the debut of Jason Collins, averaging 1.3 percent of homes in the New York area and peaking at 1.8 percent late in the victory over the Lakers.
YES has been averaging around 0.8 ratings for the Nets. Sunday's game was the network's seventh-highest-rated this season to date.

Fox Sports 1 has emerged as a contender to simulcast Mike Francesa’s WFAN radio show, which if it occurs could make for some very interesting company picnics.
Now that Fox is set to increase its stake in the YES Network to 80 percent, the simulcasts of both Francesa’s show and Michael Kay’s ESPN New York radio show could both be on Fox-owned channels.

By process of elimination, Fox Sports 1 and MSG must be the leading contenders for MIke Francesa's TV simulcast, what with Francesa saying on the air Tuesday that the cost of his show would exceed SNY's budget, then saying this about the "people" who run CBS Sports - and CBS Sports Network:

Michael Kay's first day on the YES Network averaged 0.61 percent of New York- area homes, a promising start for the ESPN Radio host's new TV simulcast.
(Mike Francesa's simulcast usually averaged in the 0.2-0.3 range; time will tell whether Kay can perform at or near that level over an extended period.)

Michael Kay opened his first simulcast on the YES Network Monday with a not-so-veiled shot at WFAN's Mike Francesa, who occupied that time slot for 12 years.
Shortly after going on the air at 3 p.m., Kay dumped a plastic bottle of Diet Coke - Francesa's longtime beverage of choice - into a garbage can held by his partner, Don LaGreca.
