Chris Weidman and Costas Philippou, both middleweights in the UFC, come together for a sparring session at Ray Longo MMA in Garden City. Philippou fights Riki Fukuda July 7 at UFC 148 and Weidman fights four days later against Mark Munoz at UFC on Fuel. Chris Weidman and Costa Philippou don't train together as much as you would think, what with them both fighting in the UFC's middleweight division and both training at the same gym -- Ray Longo MMA in Garden City.
Their schedules don't often allow for it, but with Philippou fighting July 7 at UFC 148 and Weidman headlining UFC on Fuel 4 on July 11, Thursday June 14 found an overlap.
