At age 34, Urijah Faber is just days away from his fourth UFC fight of 2013. Not many fighters his age and with his pedigree stay that active, whether they are healthy or not.

The last time Faber fought four times in the same calendar year was 2007. He went 4-0 that year, all WEC featherweight title defenses, including a win over Dominick Cruz.

Six years later, Michael McDonald stands...

In four and a half weeks.

Most people don't use the word "fun" to describe voluntarily walking into a combat session with former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida. Of course, Manhattan's Uriah Hall is not like most people.

Hall, a finalist on Season 17 of "The Ultimate Fighter," left Tiger Schulmann's MMA in New Jersey to train with Reign MMA in California for his fight this Saturday...

(Credit: The Seattle Times)

UFC president Dana White rarely, if ever, minces his words.

After UFC on Fox 8 on Saturday night, White had nothing but positive things to say about flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, but welterweight Rory MacDonald did not get the same treatment.

MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger went three rounds, with MacDonald winning the decision in a very uneventful fight.

Hear what White...

For the past several years, Gilbert Melendez has been considered the best lightweight outside of the UFC. As Strikeforce became less and less relevant under the Zuffa banner, talk focused on possible matchups for Melendez and top lightweights in the UFC.

But since the calendar turned to 2012, the former Strikeforce champion (21-2) has fought one time -- a split decision win over Josh Thomson...

What business does a guy who weighs two pounds per inch of his height have knocking guys out?

“It comes from my butt," said the 5-foot-3, 125-pound John Dodson. "It’s all in my hips. The sad part is I’m not even trying to be funny with that one.”

There are plenty of times when the UFC flyweight is cracking jokes and giving reporters amusing quotes to stick in stories and break...
