Before watching UFC 111 on pay-per-view this Saturday night, lend a few hours of your time Friday night to Strikeforce Challengers on Showtime. Why? It's free!

Showtime is doing its All Access Free Preview Weekend as a way to hook more subscribers. In addition to free movies and Showtime original series, on Friday March 26, we can watch Lavar Johnson makes his return to MMA in the main event against Lolohea Mahe.

Strikeforce Challengers starts at 11:45 p.m. and will show five live fights.

Not sure how good (or bad) any of the fights will be, but it's free MMA, so it's at least worth some space on your DVRs and TiVos. Plus, Johnson's story is impressive. Six months ago, he was shot at a family barbecue. He spent a month in a hospital and lost 60 pounds while clinging to life. Now he's back in the ring.

The Showtime free preview lasts from Thursday at 6 a.m. to Sunday at 11 p.m. (March 25-28). Here's what else we recommend you watch/record:
