UFC coming to New York in July -- for news conference

This is not quite the type of trip to the Big Apple the UFC hoped for this year, but the UFC is coming to New York on July 31.

The Beacon Theater will host most of the headliners for the remainder of this year's pay-per-view cards in the fourth stop of the UFC's 11-city world tour. The news conference begins at 1 p.m., is free and open to the public.

Ronda Rousey

Miesha Tate

UFC president Dana White will the event featuring four of the promotion's champions.

The world tour begins July 29 in the California Bay Area and includes stops in Los Angeles, Montreal, Sweden and Brazil.
