Dale Earnhardt Jr. is bringing something special back from his vacation to Germany.
NASCAR's perennial Most Popular Driver proposed to longtime girlfriend Amy Reimann during their vacation, and she said yes. Earnhardt, on his verified account, shared a picture Reimann tweeted with her wearing an engagement ring in a German church.
"I'm completely overwhelmed with love ... joy. Happiest girl in the world! I love you so much @DaleJr," she tweeted.
"Looking forward to the rest of my life with this amazing girl," Earnhardt Jr. tweeted.
Earnhardt and Reimann took advantage of the off-week in the Sprint Cup schedule to take the trip. He has regularly talked about happiness in his personal life translating into better performance on the track. He won four times in 2014 -- his highest win tally since 2006 -- and won his first race of 2015 at Talladega last month to all but guarantee himself a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup playoffs.
