Danica Patrick became the first woman to win a pole in NASCAR premier series history when she posted the fastest qualifying time for the 2013 Daytona 500. Before competing in NASCAR, Patrick finished in the top 10 in six of her seven Indianapolis 500 runs while driving in the IZOD IndyCar series.
