NASCAR Puts Carl Edwards on Probation

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Carl Edwards is in town to begin promoting the Daytona 500. Edwards will co-host “Live with Kelly!” Tuesday morning on ABC. He will also appear on FOX News Channel’s “Fox & Friends”, and on Fox Business Network.

Formula One announced today that the inaugural Grand Prix of America will take place over a 3.2-mile road course that runs through West New York and N.J., with the Manhattan skyline as the backdrop. IndyCar released this information today for the public memorial service for Dan Wheldon:

INDYCAR will hold a public memorial service to celebrate the life of IZOD IndyCar Series driver Dan Wheldon at 4 p.m. (ET) Sunday, Oct. 23 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The memorial also will be broadcast on www.indycar.com, VERSUS and on several Indianapolis network affiliates.

 Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon died Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway after a 15-car pileup in lap 11 of the IndyCar season finale. Wheldon, 33, was a two-time Indy 500 winner.

Upon learning of Wheldon's passing. officials decided to call the race. The drivers did a five-lap tribute to Wheldon on the track.
