Rex Ryan is done making promises. But his new No. 1 cornerback isn't.

Antonio Cromartie guaranteed Thursday that the Jets are making the postseason.

"The Jets will make the playoffs this year," Cromartie said on NFL Network's "NFL AM" morning show.

"We believe in each other, we believe in what coach Ryan and his staff is putting us to schemes and stuff, so we definitely are going to make the playoffs this year."

Mike DeVito shared similar sentiments this week during his weekly radio spot on WFAN. The Jets defensive end said he was confident the 3-5 Jets  could finish 6-2 down the stretch to make the playoffs.

Last season, the team fell apart at the end, losing three straight and finishing 8-8. This season they've dug themselves a big hole -- 2-2 in the AFC East following a 30-9 Week 8 loss to the Dolphins at home.

And things don't get any easier for the Jets, who depart for Seattle on Friday.
