Titan quarterback Jake Locker, in his first full year as a starter, hasn’t thrown an interception in his first three games. He also engineered a dramatic game-winning drive near the end of the team’s Week 3 win over San Diego.
Titans coach Mike Munchak, on his conference call Wednesday with Jets reporters, was clearly pleased with the way his young quarterback has responded under pressure.

The Jets announced Wednesday morning that they've replaced linebacker Troy Davis with former Hofstra running back Kareem Huggins on the practice squad.
Huggins, a native of Irvington, N.J., was a minicamp invitee of the Jets in 2009, but wasn't signed. He was signed by Tampa Bay that same year, but after playing in three games in 2010 (4 carries for 11 yards), the Bucs were forced to place...Read more »
"The Terminator" is back in New Jersey -- East Rutherford, that is.
The Giants signed former Jets fullback John Conner to replace Henry Hynoski, who was placed on injured reserve.
Conner was a breakout star for the Jets during the 2010 filming of "Hard Knocks," earning "The Terminator" nickname from Rex Ryan due to his physical style of play. Conner,...Read more »
On Thursday, coach Rex Ryan said quarterback Geno Smith’s numbers and the outcome of a 13-10 loss at New England might look a lot different had Jets receivers not dropped six passes. When the attention shifted to the receivers on Friday – particularly Clyde Gates, who had three drops – Ryan gave Gates a vote of confidence heading into Sunday’s game against Buffalo.

On Thursday, linebacker, defensive lineman Quinton Coples took a cautious approach to queries about his physical status after undergoing an ankle procedure in the preseason. But after completing his first full week of practice with the Jets since the surgery on Friday, head coach Rex Ryan pronounced Coples "probable" and then added, "He's playing."

“The good news,” Willie Colon said Thursday in the Jets’ locker room, “is that I’m not suspended. But I was fined.”
A lot? “Yeah. I’m going to appeal.”
Newsday's Kimberley Martin learned from an NFL source the amount of the fine is $35,000.
The Jets’ guard was caught up in a melee near the end of the loss to the Patriots a week ago that began when center Nick Mangold dove at New...Read more »
The best indication about the Jets’ readiness for Buffalo is that no one was confined to a stationary bike during the portion of Thursday’s practice the media was allowed to watch. Wide receiver Santonio Holmes jumped on a bike as the media was leaving, but that’s part of his regular maintenance routine.
Running back Bilal Powell, who missed Wednesday’s practice with an illness, was back at...Read more »
Rex Ryan had made the mistake of looking too far ahead – and it cost him and his players.
Despite repeated questions Monday about the organization’s refusal to fully throw its support behind rookie Geno Smith, Ryan maintains it’s better to take the week-to-week approach when it comes to the Jets’ starting quarterback.
“I think you get in trouble when you put dates on things instead of...Read more »
Jeremy Kerley didn’t hesitate.
Despite sporting a red non-contact jersey just a little while earlier, the Jets slot receiver declared Tuesday he was ready to face the Buffalo Bills.
“A-1,” said Kerley, who suffered a concussion in Week 1 after being hit by Bucs safety Mark Barron.
He also said he began to feel better a few days after “getting out of the fog a little bit.”
