Robinson Cano won his fifth American League Silver Slugger Award on Wednesday. It's the fourth straight year he's been honored as the AL's best offensive second baseman. His fifth came in 2006.
Cano was the lone New York player to win a Silver Slugger Award in 2013. He hit .314 with a team-high 27 home runs and 107 RBIs.

Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado was carted off the field in the seventh inning of a game against the Tampa Bay Rays after injuring his left leg while rounding first on an infield single.

He showed his team spirit by wearing a full-on Vanderbilt football uniform -- including the helmet -- while throwing in the bullpen before the Tampa Bay Rays' game against the Los Angeles Angels. Alfonso Soriano helped get the Yankees off to a solid start with a three-run home run off of Toronto Blue Jays pitcher J.A. Happ in the first inning of Tuesday's game, but he wasn't done there.
