The Mets have signed veteran pitcher Kyle Farnsworth to a minor-league deal with an invitation to major league spring training, the team announced Monday.
Farnsworth, a 37-year-old righthander, is 43-64 with a career 4.26 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 960 innings.

Tampa Bay Rays rightfielder Wil Myers and Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez were named the American League and National League rookies of the year, respectively, on Monday.
