The Montauk party scene of 2013 had already opened by the time the first-ever edition of Sound Waves kicked off in late July of that year. With the summer of 2014 already past its halfway mark, many Hamptons clubs have started organizing for Labor Day weekend.

On the other hand, two East End spots are actually getting Christmas parties ready this week -- so if your need for a fix of Yuletide cheer simply can't wait until December, you'll have a pair of chances to make merry in jingle-bell fashion before August even arrives as...

Taking advantage of the free-from-work Friday generated by this year’s Fourth of July, Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa will be throwing a daytime bash that is already looking like a smash hit.

For the most part, July 4 is a day when virtually everybody is able to get away from their cubicles, desks and other work-related furniture to get out and cut loose -- which may explain why...

Looks like the people that make Montauk their regular good times destination will be getting another stop to frequent, as the recently-opened Harbor Raw Bar & Lounge is adding some dedicated nightlife to its calendar.

Located in the spot that formerly held the now-defunct Cross Eyed Clam, this small plates-focused restaurant opened in May and has already been offering some live music and...

It’s hard to imagine that anyone who has ever spent even just a single night out at a club, bar or in any other social setting isn't aware that footwear is a weighty issue that falls most heavily on women.

Even when attempting to avoid any insinuation of gender pigeonholing, it’s hard to evade the fact that while gentlemen generally get away with sporting either comfortable dress shoes or...

Montauk is approximately 11 miles from the next closest Hamptons hamlet (Amagansett), and as it is the last town before LI ends, it has no other neighbor -- making it quite remote compared to most LI localities. However, one could insinuate that it’s the personality of the locality that truly makes it distant from the rest of the Hamptons, especially in the summer.

Much like other communities...

Thousands of people were killed, including close to 2,000 alone in the city of Tacloban, located on the Visayan island Leyte. Much of the city has been reduced to rubble, and there is...

Montauk may be thought of as mainly a summer fun destination, but one of the hamlet’s top year-round resorts is throwing a bash worthy of consideration, despite the late autumn chill that has already set in across the East End.

On Friday, Nov. 8, Gurney’s Inn is throwing its fifth annual “Girls Night Out,” an evening that means drinks, edibles and dancing for all attending – as well as some...
