HARRISON, N.J. -- The New York Red Bulls have signed former Paris-Saint Germain forward Peguy Luyindula.

The Major League Soccer team said Tuesday that Luyindula will be added to the team's roster pending receipt of his P-1 Visa.

The 32-year-old Luyindula had played with Paris Saint-Germain since 2007, scoring 37 goals in 179 games. He also has played for Marseille, Auxerre and the Spanish side, Levante.

Luyindula started his career at Niort in 1997 before moving to Strasbourg. He competed in the UEFA Champions League at Lyon from 2001-2004, scoring 46 goals in 126 appearances while helping his team win two league championships. Luyindula has earned six caps for the French National Team, scoring one goal in a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
