Description:
Husband and wife team Ali and Nazifa Rahimi have been serving dishes that are a fusion of Afghani and Mediterranean cuisines for nearly a dozen years. Diners can start with appetizers such as aushak — a dumpling filled with leeks, served with a meat sauce and yogurt dressing, or “Afghani Delight” — a sampler of other starters. A lamb dish, quabili palaw, served on the bone over basmati rice pilaf that's sprinkled with pistachios, almonds and raisins, is a favorite of regulars.
