A group of Putnam County Republicans is throwing its support behind Democrat Justin Wagner's bid to oust freshman state Sen. Greg Ball (R-Patterson).

Another poll conducted for Democrat Sean Patrick Maloney's campaign shows him in a tight race with Republican Congresswoman Nan Hayworth.
The poll, conducted by Democratic pollster Global Strategy Group, shows Hayworth with 44 percent support to Maloney's 42 percent support, with 14 percent of voters undecided.
