The former South Side High School soccer star has been named to the United States national team for two matches as part of the team's post-World Cup "Victory Tour."
The U.S. will play friendlies against Haiti on Thursday in Detroit and in Birmingham, Ala. on Sept. 20.
Dunn, 23, had previously represented the U.S. senior team 13 times, and also had played for the under-20, under-18 and under-17 national teams.
Dunn's international call-up comes in the midst of an MVP-caliber campaign for the Washington Spirit of the National Women's Soccer League. She scored 15 goals to become the youngest player to win the three-year-old league's regular season scoring title, and set a league record with a 0.75 goals per game average.
Dunn was named Newsday's Long Island Player of the Year and the Gatorade New York High School Player of the Year in 2009.
At the University of North Carolina, she won the Hermann Trophy for national player of the year during her junior year and was a finalist in her senior year.
