Stefanie Dolson's career at Connecticut has gone about as well as she could have reasonably expected, especially after her Huskies blew out Louisville 93-60 on Tuesday night in New Orleans to win the women's NCAA Tournament.

Syracuse’s Matt Lyde-Cajuste is one of two Hudson Valley-bred athletes playing in the Final Four.
OK, maybe “playing” is too strong of a word.
Lyde-Cajuste, a senior walk-on who attended Iona Prep, has played just 22 minutes this season. He saw action in only one of the Orange’s NCAA Tournament games so far – their opener, in which they crushed Montana 81-34. So unless Syracuse finds...Read more »
Iona's season might have ended in ugly fashion Friday night, as the 15th-seeded Gaels were routed by No. 2 seed Ohio State, 95-70, in their NCAA Tournament opener. There are plenty of reasons, however, to believe the Gaels could experience March Madness for a third-straight year in 2014.

The team's supporters told Newsday that this year's Iona squad has two things going for it that it did not have when it reached the Big Dance last year: momentum and track...Read more »

Here’s a quick look at them:
