State Sen. Greg Ball calls for probe into Putnam Co. District Attorney Adam Levy's relationship with ex-personal trainer

Ball says if Levy has nothing to hide let the special prosecutor investigate, if not Levy should go.

BREWSTER - State Sen. Greg Ball is asking that Gov. Andrew Cuomo appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Putnam County District Attorney Adam Levy over his relationship with his former personal trainer, who is accused of raping a child.

Ball is also asking for Levy's resignation.

The Putnam DA's live-in trainer, Alexander Hossu, is the accused rapist. The case was moved to Westchester County because Hossu was living with Levy, but now Ball says it appears Levy shared secret grand jury proceedings with the defense.

Ball says that if Levy has nothing to hide, he should let the special prosecutor investigate, and otherwise, Levy should step down.

"We need the governor to appoint a special prosecutor, let's do a full independent investigation and restore the public trust," said Ball.
