Summer vacation in Maine was memorable

Last summer I went to Portland, Maine, to visit my Uncle Matt. I met my new little cousin, Ovid.

It was great to visit him, but one of the best parts of the trip was taking a trip up the coast to Acadia National Park. We drove up Cadillac Mountain. Did you know it is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard? It also is the first spot you can view the sunrise in the United States (from October through March). We went swimming in a nearby lake. We also slept in a tent and cooked over a fire every night. I definitely recommend a road trip to Maine for everyone. It was awesome.
