TECH SUPPORT HOW 2...
How 2 . . . Find online shopping coupons
Besides being convenient, online shopping is great because there are lots of coupon codes that can save you money. But you have to know how to find them.
1. Choose the online store you want to shop at and remember the domain name, such as amazon.com or bestbuy.com
2. Go to RetailMeNot.com and enter the domain name of the site where you want to shop into the blank field and click "Search."
3. Choose a code from the ones listed and keep the Web window with the codes open. Make sure to read the details of each coupon to see if it will work for your purchase.
4. Click the link next to the coupon code to go to the online shopping site.
5. After you've selected your items, proceed to checkout and look for the "coupon code" field. Enter in the code from RetailMeNot, and if possible click the button that says something like "apply coupon" or "recalculate total" to see if the code worked.
If the code didn't work, go back and try another one. Make sure to tell the site if the code worked for you, so others can benefit from your experience.

November 23, 2008
What's involved in a switch from Windows to Linux? An editor and a couple of readers posed that question after last week's column. Given the proliferation of cheap Linux-based "netbooks" it is worth a systematic look.
