Gutsy move by HBO opening with Floyd Mayweather Jr. saying that if he's not on 24/7, don't even bother watching. He then asks, what would the show 24/7 be without me?

The truth is, Floyd does generate the best ratings for 24/7. With that said, it's still a pretty good show when Manny Pacquiao is on.

Best spoken line, Floyd Mayweather Jr.: "June 1st is just any ordinary day. I'm not worried about it. I don't even think about it. It is what is. I took the good with the good, the bad with the bad." That's the day Mayweather goes to jail for a 90-day sentence.

Best spoken line, Floyd Mayweather Jr., part 2: "I like the smell of the gloves." First time I ever heard a fighter say that. The gloves do have a distinct smell.

Best spoken line, 50 Cent: "Wait til your father gets home. Waiting is actually worse than the --- whipping you get when he gets there. If you get it." We can all relate to that.

Best Spoken line, Pedro Diaz: "To train and to win, there's no clock, there's just a lot of work."

Best Spoken line, Pedro Diaz, part 2: "Invincible men only exist in the movies."

Not buying Leonard Ellerbee's spin on the plea bargain. Ellerbee talks about knowing the "facts" of the case. Here's my opinion. Floyd Mayweather is a very wealthy individual, capable of hiring the best lawyers in the world. A man of Floyd's wealth and fame doesn't go to jail unless he has no other choice.

Training Days: It's hard to win this category when Mayweather is on because he trains so insanely hard, but Cotto's rope climb gets the nod.

Best written line: There was no closing essay in the episode, so we'll go with: "You'll excuse Miguel Cotto for not talking back. He's just here to fight."

Best supporting cast: Bryan Perez lost a lot of weight, good for him.

Scenic view: Cotto's beach workout.

I know it's cool, but not a huge fan of all the jump cuts during Cotto interview.

Love Floyd referencing Apollo Creed.

50 Cent usually just stays in the background. He had some interesting things to say in this episode. It would be good to hear more from him.

Great moment when Cotto talks about his family.

And just as a nice a moment when Floyd Sr. is welcomed back to the gym.

Funny how Floyd Sr. showed up again when the cameras were back. The Mayweathers all have that flair for the dramatic.
