HBO 24/7 Mayweather-Cotto, epsiode 1

Gutsy move by HBO opening with Floyd Mayweather Jr. saying that if he's not on 24/7, don't even bother watching. He then asks, what would the show 24/7 be without me?

The truth is, Floyd does generate the best ratings for 24/7. With that said, it's still a pretty good show when Manny Pacquiao is on.

Best spoken line, Floyd Mayweather Jr.: "June 1st is just any ordinary day. I'm...

Trainer Freddie Roach at Wild Card Boxing Club

HBO's 24/7: Pacquiao-Marquez, episode 1

We wrote that the opening of Mayweather-Ortiz sizzled. This opening was just as effective, but in a far more subtle way.

Best spoken line, Juan Manuel Marquez: "I think that is why I want this fight, why I've always wanted this fight and it's like a thorn in my side that I want to pull out."

Freddie Sez: "Everything in Manny Pacquiao's life is because of boxing....

Was Victor Ortiz looking for a way out?

Only Victor Oritz knows what he was thinking in the seconds before he was knocked out by Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the fourth round of Saturday's WBC welterweight title fight in Las Vegas.

Perhaps he will share it with us some day.

Let's recap what happened.

In the estimation of this corner, Ortiz was pressuring Mayweather like few fighters have ever pressured him. He was not...
