$6, $5 ages 4-18 and seniors, Members free (Special programs may have additional fee, check website for details). Every Summer Wednesday is "Welcome Wednesday" with evening hours of 5-7 p.m., with Pay-as-you-wish admission.


The museum will be closed Sept. 4 for renovation until October 2nd when they will be having a re-opening event.

In a picturesque village of galleries and shops, this 4-room museum contains memorabilia such as a 19th century 30-foot whaleboat (one of a dozen in the world), harpoons, scrimshaw and a diorama of the whaling port in its 1850 heyday. Visitors can listen to the song of the humpback whale and participate in the hands-on activity center. 


11 a.m.-5 p.m. daily from Labor Day-Memorial Day.
