Charlie Foltz will ring the church bells 13 times at 1 p.m. Friday in the Village Presbyterian Church of Northbrook, 1300 Shermer Rd. Foltz will join more than 10,000 bell ringers across the country to commemorate the moment the Liberty Bell was rung at Independence Hall in Philadelphia to mark the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The Pick-up Choir will rehearse at 9:20 a.m. and sing at 10 a.m. Sunday and Aug. 3 in St. Peter Community Church, 2700 Willow Rd. Call 847-272-2246.
