A move to Mayport would be wrong
Iam deeply concerned with the announcement by the secretary of the Navy on Nov. 17 regarding the Navy's preference to create a second East Coast homeport for a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier in Mayport, Fla. In this evaluation, national security...Tags: Barack Obama, Norfolk (Norfolk, Virginia), Defense, Transportation Accidents, Hampton Roads

Norfolk vs. Mayport
The loss of an aircraft carrier would be a huge economic hit for Hampton Roads, no doubt about it. What size fits the fleet?
202-824-8224Second of two parts The Navy's plan to produce a future fleet of 313 ships is getting panned on Capitol Hill.
