Mel Harris, also know as Mary Ellen Harris, is a longtime actress best known for her role in the popular ABC show thirtysomething. Harris was born in in Bethlehem, Lehigh and Northampton County, Pennsylvania, before later moving to New Brunswick, New Jersey. Harris played the role of Hope Murdoch Steadman on thirtysomething. She currently appears on the MyNetworkTV show Saints & Sinners. She has appeared on preview shows including the NBC sitcom Something So Right as well as appearances on Dawson's Creek, House, Angel and The West Wing.
