Highlights
Beacon Theater, 2124 Broadway, opened in 1928 as a Vaudeville house. Its ornate interior has welcomed musicians like James Taylor, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, and more recently Taylor Hicks. Every spring, The Allman Brothers Band take over the place for a series of concerts. In 1979, the historic venue was designated a national landmark and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
