Neil Diamond Expected At Mohegan Sun
Neil Diamond returns to Connecticut with a performance Nov. 28 at Mohegan Sun; tickets go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. for $135, $95 and $65. Smashing Pumpkins is there Nov. 16 as part of its 20th anniversary tour; tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. for $40.
New-age Christmas rockers Trans-Siberian Orchestra perform two shows Nov. 30 at XL Center in Hartford; tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for $49.25, $39.25 and $20.
Because of a death in the family of one of the musicians, Scottish alt-rock band the Fratellis has canceled its performance Saturday at the Webster Theatre. The Webster plans to reschedule the show, so hang on to your tickets. It won't be Nov. 24 — Ani DiFranco is there that day; tickets are $28. Ill Niño returns Nov. 6 with Otep; tickets are $15 in advance.
Singer and songwriter J.D. Souther performs with April Smith Nov. 13 at the Iron Horse Music Hall; tickets are $22.50 in advance. Sondre Lerche returns Nov. 17 with Sylvie Lewis; tickets are $15 in advance. Dar Williams plays a pair of shows there Dec. 26; tickets are $32.50 in advance. Big Al Anderson returns for a pair of shows on New Year's Eve; tickets are $75.
Bluegrass artist Tim O'Brien performs Nov. 2 at the Little Theater in New Haven; tickets are $25. Family band Cherryholmes is there Nov. 16; tickets are $32.
Chicago indie-rockers the Safes perform with the Villains Nov. 11 at Cafe Nine in New Haven.
