The Connecticut Sun are a basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association. The team is based out of Uncasville, Conn. The Sun was moved to Connecticut after being sold to the Mohegan Native American Tribe on Jan. 28, 2003. Prior to the move, the team was known as the Orlando Miracle. For the Sun's first season in Connecticut, the team acquired University of Connecticut star player Rebecca Lobo. The Sun has the highest winning record of any WNBA team in a five year period, although it has yet to win a championship. The Sun is the only WNBA team that does not share its market with an NBA team.
