Shin and U.S. Army Staff Sgt., Christopher M. Ward during a dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base, on April 8, 2013 in Dover, Delaware. Shin, who was from Hesperia, Calif., was killed while supporting U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Operation Enduring Freedom - Afghanistan, and Ward, who was from Oak Ridge, Tenn., was killed while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom - Afghanistan.
